Why would a company or non-profit want to host a social media platform?
So it's basically a forum, but it has social media features. So are the forum features you mentioned awhile back ready yet?
I think you cannot do it on one instance. It would need some development to support multiple domains.
But it is not needed. You can run two instances for this scenario quite easily with lots of benefits. For example the "internal" instance can be connected to LDAP and have closed registrations and the public instance would be tuned for open registration and different policies.

I am not sure. Are you using the blog/list view?
I installed Streams a few times today, once with Apache2 and another with Nginx everything worked, except, there was no Streams just a blank page. I'll keep trying because I really want to see what it looks like.
