We just added a new article on Complete Hosting Guide about creating your own custom web pages using Hubzilla. This allows you to use the built-in webpages app to create custom web pages. You can use whatever layout and style you want, or you can use an existing theme to wrap around your content.

It is a little longer that I intended it to be, but I wanted to make sure I cover multiple scenarios, and highlight some possible pitfalls.

I just made a few minor additions to the article a couple of minutes ago.

Hi Scott, thanks for that article, been looking for something like this for a while.

One question: You speak about using PHP. Wouldn't that mean tohave access to the webspace? Like serverside?

No. Giving someone code access gives them the ability to add PHP code to their page as well as HTML.

You enter the PHP the same way you edit the HTML for the page, but you pick PHP for the content type instead of HTML.

@Scott M. Stolz thank you for clearing this up, this sounds interesting. I need to set up my own instance again , it broke down under load and I have not yet found the time for migration, but I want to get a much closer look on that and see what is possible.

@tonnerkiller I'll have some example websites up shortly that hopefully will inspire some people. I think many people will be surprised at what you can do with Hubzilla once you know how to create pages and re-theme it.
