I'm in Houston and I had a meeting in Houston today. It was a 41 minute drive, one way. The perils of living in a city that's half the size of a small state.

Remembering Silicon Valley traffic. I lived about 8 miles from work and the commute took about an hour each way. Longer if you took the freeway.

The City of Houston is 600 square miles, so it is pretty big. Today's drive was 33 miles (53 km) one way, and not during rush hour.

This is Australia. We do know about big. This isn't a contest, but I'll just mention that the wife's job covers an area comparable to Dallas, San Antonio, and Houston and everything north and east to the OK, AR, LA borders.

I wasn't really commenting on the distance. I was commenting on how big Houston is. You can drive for one and a half hours and still be in the same city.
