Use Cases for Nomadic Identity
I have been thinking a lot about the potential of the Zot6 / Nomad protocol, and how it can be used for a variety of use cases. Some of the interesting ones that I have come up with include:
- Federated Social Media (i.e. Hubzilla, Zap, Streams, etc.)
- Remote Authentication (i.e. Log in with Nomad)
- A possible Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) method
- Nomadic Identity
- Redundancy (i.e. Cloning Accounts)
One of the interesting ones on this list is the possible use as a 2FA method.
Right now, when you log in to many websites, they ask for you to verify that it is you. What if you being logged into your hub automatically verified that it is you, so you don't have to deal with an additional text or email?
