The beginning of pulling the plug from AP connections, maybe?

I doubt they would pull the plug on ActivityPub connections since that would look really bad and remove a significant userbase, but they already prefer their own API and their ActivityPub implementation is already non-standard. There might be compatibility issues in the future, but I doubt they would pull the plug.

You are right. But I have meant disabling AP in Hubzilla. Problem solved, if it ever will be one.

Oh, you meant the other direction.
Since you can control who you follow, and therefore who you see, I don't think it is necessary to disable AP in Hubzilla.
Sure, you have to deal with commenters on threads you follow, but that is true on any platform. It's not like they can send unsolicited content directly to you, and Hubzilla let's you block people who don't want to see.
My only concern is that AP can generate a lot of messages at once, especially if you follow someone who is popular. That seems to be more of an issue than worrying about content you might see.

True. Hubzilla/Streams is very clever here. As a last messure, when all other blocking functions won't work, we still are able to disconnect AP and go full ZOT. Lovely.
